There are a lot of
ahadeeth wherein numerous events which the prophet (s.a.w) prophecised came
true today and we have clear signs of them coming true in the near future. This
document includes many ahadeeth enlisting the signs, but some still remain. I
will keep adding them as and when i come across them.
TABLE OF CONTENTS :
A) SIGNS FROM THE QURAN
B) SIGNS FROM AHADEETH
C) GREATER SIGNS OF THE
HOUR
A) SIGNS FROM THE QURAN
SIGN:-1
Allah Says,''The Day ye
shall see it, every mother giving suck shall forget her suckling-babe, and
every pregnant female shall drop her load (unformed): thou shalt see mankind as
in a drunken riot, yet not drunk: but dreadful will be the Wrath of God.'' (The
Noble Quran, 22:2)"
SIGN:-2
Allah Says,''[The time
of] their account has approached for the people, while they are in heedlessness
turning away.'' [Al-Qur'an 21:1]
SIGN:-3
Allah says,"They
ask thee about the Hour, 'When will be its appointed time?' Wherein art thou
(concerned) with the declaration thereof? With thy Lord is the Limit fixed
thereof. Thou art but a Warner for such as fear it. The Day they will see it,
(it will be) as if they had tarried but a single evening, or (at most till) the
following morn!" [Al-Qur'an 79:42-46][Al-Qur'an 7:187]
SIGN:-4
Allah Says,'Are they
waiting for anything except the Hour, to come to them suddenly? But its Signs
have already come!" [Quran 47:18]
SIGN:-5
Allah Says,'And the
Trumpet will be blown, and whoever is in the heavens and
whoever is on the earth
will fall dead except whom Allah wills. Then it will be blown again, and at
once they will be standing, looking on.(Qur'an 39: 68-69)
SIGN:-6
Allah Says,"The
Day that We roll up the heavens like a scroll rolled up for books (completed),-
even as We produced the first creation, so shall We produce a new one: a
promise We have undertaken: truly shall We fulfil it. (The Noble Quran,
21:104)"
SIGN:-7
Allah Says,"Verily
the knowledge of the Hour is with Allah (alone). It is He
Who sends down rain,
and He Who knows what is in the wombs. Nor does anyone know what it is that he
will earn on the morrow: Nor does anyone know in what land he is to die. Verily
with Allah is full knowledge and He is acquainted (with all
things)."
[Al-Qur'an 31:34]
B) SIGNS FROM AHADEETH
I'll first quote few
ahadeeth to show the signs which have been fulfilled in its entirety
Ibn Umar reported: The
Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, turned to us and said, “O emigrants,
there are five things with which you will be tested, and I seek refuge with
Allah lest you live to see them:
(i) sexual immorality
never appears among people to such an extent that they commit it openly except
that they will be afflicted by plagues and diseases (e.g AIDS and etc) unknown
to their forefathers;
(ii) they do not cheat
in weights and measures (business, trades, etc) except that they will be
stricken with famine, calamity, and the oppression of rulers;
(iii) they do not
withhold charity from their wealth except that rain will be withheld from the
sky, and were it not for the animals there would be no rain at all;
(iv) they do not break
their covenant with Allah and His Messenger except that Allah will enable their
enemies to overpower them and take some of what is in their hands;
(v) and unless their
leaders rule according to the Book of Allah and seek every good from that which
Allah has revealed, then Allah will cause them to fight one another.”
[Sunan ibn Majah, Book
of Trials, Number 4019, Sahih]
'Ali ibn Abi Talib
said,
"The Prophet said:
'If my Ummah bears fifteen traits, tribulation will befall it.' Someone asked,
'What are they, O Messenger of Allah?' He said,
(1) 'When any gain is
shared out only among the rich, with no benefit to the poor;
(2) when a trust
becomes a means of making a profit;
(3) when paying Zakat
becomes a burden;
(4) when a man obeys
his wife and disobeys his mother;
(5) and treats his
friend kindly whilst shunning his father;
(6) when voices are
raised in the mosques;
(7) when the leader of
a people is the worst of them;
(8) when people treat a
man with respect because they fear some evil he may do;
(9) when much wine is
drunk;
(10) when men wear
silk;
(11) when female
singers and
(12) musical
instruments become popular;
(13) when the last ones
of this Ummah (e.g shia'as , munkarul hadeeth, etc) curse the first ones - then
let them expect a red wind, or the earth to swallow them, or to be transformed
into animals.'"
(Sunan al-Tirmidhi)
'Ali ibn Abi Talib
said,
"The Prophet led us in praying Salat
al-Fajr (the morning prayer). When he had finished, a man called to him: 'When
will the Hour be?’ The Prophet reprimanded him and said 'Be quiet!' After a
while he raised his eyes to the sky and said, 'Glorified be the One Who raised
it and is taking care of it.' Then he lowered his gaze to the earth and said,
'Glory be to the One Who has outspread it and has created it.' Then the Prophet
said, 'Where is the one who asked me about the Hour?' The man knelt down and
said, 'I asked you.' The Prophet said, 'The Hour will come when leaders are
oppressors, when people believe in the stars and reject al-Qadar (the Divine
Decree of destiny) when a trust becomes a way of making a profit, when people
give to charity (Sadaqah) reluctantly, when adultery becomes widespread - when
this happens, then your people will perish.'"

[Ref: Saheeh ibn Hibban

[1] this could mean the
posture, as well as the audacity of shamelessness, as is seen widespread today
especially in the western or modern "developed" nations.
'Imran ibn Husayn said,
"The Prophet (saws)
said, 'Some people of this Ummah will be swallowed up by the earth, some will
be transformed into animals, and some will be bombarded with stones.' One of
the Muslims asked, 'When will that be, O Messenger of Allah?' He said, 'When
singers and musical instruments will become popular, and much wine will be
drunk.'" (Narrated by Tirmidhi)

Hadith-1

Hadith Number 0213.
It is narrated on the
authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him)
observed: Be prompt in doing good deeds (before you are overtaken) by
turbulence which would be like a part of the dark night. During (that stormy
period) a man would be a Muslim in the morning and an unbeliever in the evening
or he would be a believer in the evening and an unbeliever in the morning, and
would sell his faith for worldly goods.

3- The taking away of
knowledge and the prevalence of ignorance
Hadith-3
Sahih Bukhari Volume
001, Book 003, Hadith Number 081.
Narated By Anas : I
will narrate to you a Hadith and none other than I will tell you about after

(the following):
1. Religious knowledge
will decrease (by the death of religious learned men).
2. Religious ignorance
will prevail.
3. There will be
prevalence of open illegal sexual intercourse.
4. Women will increase
in number and men will decrease in number so much so that fifty women will be
looked after by one man.
4- Frequent occurrences
of sudden and unexpected death;
Hadith-4
Sahih Muslim Book 041,

Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: Hasten in performing these
good deeds (before these) six things (happen): (the appearance) of tribe
Dijjal, the smoke, the beast of the earth, the rising of the sun from the west,
the general turmoil (leading to large-scale massacre) and death of masses and
individuals.
5- Spreading of killing
Hadith-5
Abu Musa reported: The
Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Before the Hour
will come an upheaval.” I said, “O Messenger of Allah, what is the upheaval?”
He said, “Killing.” Some of the Muslims said, “O Messenger of Allah, indeed we
fight in one year such-and-such many idolaters.” He said, “It is not that you
will fight the idolaters, but rather you will fight each other until a man
kills his neighbor and the son of his mother and his close relatives.” Some of
the people said, “O Messenger of Allah, will we be reasonable on that day?” He
said, “No, for reason will be removed from most of the people in that era, and
the remaining people will not have their ability to reason.”
[Sunan Ibn Majah, Book
of Trials, Number 3959, Sahih Ibn Maajah 3213, Also see Sahih al bukhari Volume
9, Book 88, Number 184]
The world would not
come to an end until a day would come to the people on which the murderer would
not know as to why he has killed and the slain would not know as to why he has
been murdered. It would be said: Why would It happen? To which he replied: It
would be because of general massacre and bloodshed.

Dajjals (liars) appear, and each one of them will claim that he is Allah's

(9) till the people
compete with one another in constructing high buildings,
(10) till a man when
passing by a grave of someone will say, 'Would that I were in his place
(11) and till the sun
rises from the West. So when the sun will rise and the people will see it
(rising from the West) they will all believe (embrace Islam) but that will be
the time when: (As Allah said,) 'No good will it do to a soul to believe then,
if it believed not before, nor earned good (by deeds of righteousness) through
its Faith.' (6.158)
And the Hour will be
established while two men spreading a garment in front of them but they will
not be able to sell it, nor fold it up; and the Hour will be established when a
man has milked his she-camel and has taken away the milk but he will not be
able to drink it; and the Hour will be established before a man repairing a

28- When the land of
the Arabs returns to being a land of rivers and fields
Hadith-32
Sahih Muslim Book 005,
Hadith Number 2208.
Abu Huraira reported
Allah's Messenger (way peace be upon him) as saying: The Last Hour will not
come before wealth becomes abundant and overflowing, so much so that a man
takes Zakat out of his property and cannot find anyone to accept it from him
and till the land of Arabia becomes meadows and rivers.
29- The “Romans
(Christians)” will increase in number and fight the Muslims
Hadith-33
Sahih Muslim Book 041,
Hadith Number 6925.
Mustaurid al-Qurashi
reported: I heard Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The Last
Hour would come (when) the Romans would form a majority amongst people.
30- Earning money in
Haram ways:
Hadith-34
Prophet said "A
time will come when a man doesn't mind if he is earning halal or haram
money." [Al-Bukhari]
31- When there is much
rain but little vegetation
Hadith-35
Anas said "We were
discussing the fact that the Hour would not come until there is too much rain,
but the earth does not produce crops". [Declared Hasan (good) by
Al-Albani]
32-Evil People will be
expelled from Al-Madinah:
Hadith-36
Sahih Muslim Book 007,
Hadith Number 3188.
Abu Huraira (Allah be
pleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as
saying:Behold Medina is like furnace which eliminates from it the impurities.
And the Last Hour will not come until Medina banishes its evils just as a
furnace eliminates the impurities of iron.
33-When predatory
animals and minerals speak to human
Hadith-37
It was reported from
Abu Sa'id that the Prophet (sallallahu alayhe wa sallam) said: "The Hour
will not come until the time when a man will leave his home, and his shoes or
whip or stick will tell what is happening to his family." (Musnad Ahmad).
Hadith-38
It was reported from
Abu Sa'id that the Prophet (sallallahu alayhe wa sallam) said: "By Him in
Whose hand is my soul, the Hour will not come until wild animals talk to men,
and a man speaks to his whip or his shoe, and his thigh will tell him about what
happened to his family after he left."(Musand Ahmad Declared Authentic by
Al-Albani)
34-Believer's dreams
coming true:
Hadith-39
Sahih Muslim Book 029,
Hadith Number 5621.
Abu Huraira reported
Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: When the time draws near
(when the Resurrection is near) a believer's dream can hardly be false. And the
truest vision will be of one who is himself the most truthful in speech, for
the vision of a Muslim is the forty-fifth part of Prophecy.
35- Increase in
Thunderbolt
It was reported from
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri that the Prophet (sallallahu
alayhe wa sallam) said,
"Thunderbolts will increase so much as the Hour
approaches that when a
man comes to a people, he will ask, 'Who amongst
you was struck by a
thunderbolt this morning?' and they will say,
'So-and-so and
so-and-so was struck'." (Ahmad)
36- Assigning special
greetings to V.I.P's and women helping their husbands in business
Tariq ibn Shihab said,
"We were sitting with 'Abd Allah ibn Mas'ud, when a
man came and told us
that the time for prayer had come. So we got up and
went to the mosque.
After the prayer, a man came to 'Abd Allah ibn Mas'ud
and said, 'As-salam
'alayka (Peace be upon you), O Abu 'Abd al-Rahman'.
'Abd Allah answered,
'Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth'. When
we went back, we asked
one another, 'Did you hear the answer he gave? Who
is going to ask him
about it? I said, 'I will ask him'; so I asked him
when he came out. He
narrated from the Prophet (sallallahu alayhe wa
sallam): 'Before the
Hour comes, there will be a special greeting for the
people of distinction;
trade will become so widespread that a woman will help her husband in business;
family ties will be cut; the giving of false witness will be common, while
truthful witness will be rare; and writing will be widespread." (Ahmad)
37- Until none shall
say Laa Ilaaha IllAllah
It was also reported
from Anas that the Prophet (sallallahu alayhe wa
sallam) said: "The
Hour will not come until no-one on earth says, 'Allah,
Allah'." (Ahmad.)
There are two
suggestions as to the meaning of the phrase, "until no-one
on earth says 'Allah,
Allah'":
1. It could mean that
no-one will forbid evil, or try to correct another
if he sees him doing
something wrong. We have already come across this in
the Hadith of 'Abd
Allah ibn 'Amr: "Only the worst people will be left;
they will not know any
good or forbid any evil."
2. It could mean that
Allah will no longer be mentioned, and His Name will
not be known; this will
be part of the prevalent corruption and Kufr, as
in the previous Hadith,
"Until no-one on earth says 'La ilaha illa
Allah'."
38- No truly honest man
will remain and no one will be trusted
Hudhayfah said, The
Prophet told us two Hadith, one of which I have seen fulfilled, and I am
waiting for the fulfilment of the other. The Prophet told us that honesty came
down into mens hearts (from Allah); then they learnt it from the Quran, and
then from the Sunnah. The Prophet told us that honesty would be taken away. He
said, Man will be overtaken by sleep, during which honesty will be taken away
from his heart, and only its trace will remain, like traces of a dark spot.
Then man will be overtaken by slumber again, during which honesty will decrease
still further, until its trace will resemble a blister such as is caused when
an ember is dropped onto ones foot: it swells, but there is nothing inside.
People will be carrying on with their trade, but there will hardly be any
trustworthy persons. People will say, There is an honest man in such-and-such a
tribe. Later they will say about some man, What a wise, polite and strong man
he is! - although he will not have faith even the size of a mustard-seed in his
heart. [Al Bukhari]
39 - Nations will call
each other to destroy Islam (Islamic values, culture, teachings, muslims) by
any and every means
Thauban reported that
the messenger of Allah said: "It is near that the nations will call one
another against you just as the eaters call one another to their dishes."
Somebody asked: "Is this because we will be few in numbers that day?"
He said: "Nay, but that day you shall be numerous, but you will be like
the foam of the sea, and Allah will take the fear of you away from your enemies
and will place weakness into your hearts." Somebody asked: "What is
this weakness?" He said: "The love of the world and the dislike of
death." (Abu Daud)
The Prophet (s.a.w)
said to Thawban : "O Thawban, what will you do when the nations of the
world call one another to invade you as people call one another to come and eat
from one bowl?
Thawban said, May my
father and my mother be sacrificed for you. O Messenger of Allah! Is it because
we (Muslims) will be so few in number? The Prophet said, "No, on that day
you (Muslims) will be many, but Allah will put weakness (wahn) in your hearts.
The people asked, What is that weakness, O Messenger of Allah? He said, It is
love for this world ..... (Musnad Ahmad.)
40- Qur'an and Islamic
knowledge will be passed on but no one will follow it correctly
Narrated Ziyad bin
Labid: Allaah’s Messenger صلى الله
عليه
وسلم
spoke of something and said: “It will happen when knowledge will be no more”. I
said: “Allaah’s Messenger, how will knowledge vanish despite the fact that we
will be reciting the Qur’aan and teaching its recitation to our children and
our children will teach its recitation to their children up to the Day of
Resurrection?” Thereupon he said: “Ziyad, may your mother weep over you. I was
of the opinion that you were one of those who have the greatest understanding
of religion in Madeenah. Do these Jews and Christians not recite the Torah and
the Bible but not act according to what is contained in them?” [Tirmidhee
(2653), Ibn Maajah (4048) and graded as “Saheeh” by Shaikh al-Albaanee]
41 - The position of
Oppressors and evil rulers upon Muslims who transgress all limits of cruelity
against Muslims.
It was narrated from
'Abdullah bin Dinar, that Ibn 'Umar said: "The Messenger of Allah(s.a.w)
said: 'When my Ummah walks in a proud march, and its servants are the children
of kings, children of Persians and Romans, the evilest of them will be set over
the best of them
[Jaami` al-Tirmidhi,
Vol. 4, Book 7, Hadith 2261]
The prophet (s.a.w)
said : " Rulers after me will come who do not follow my guidance and my
tradition (sunnah). Some of their men will have the hearts of devils in a human
body.
I (Hudhayfa ibn
al-Yaman) said, “O Messenger of Allah, what should I do if I live to see that
time?” The Prophet said:
You should listen and
obey them even if the ruler strikes your back and takes your wealth, even still
listen and obey.

C) GREATER SIGNS OF THE
HOUR
1-The coming of the
Mahdi
THE Mahdi will come at
the end of time; he is one of the Rightly-Guided
Caliphs and Imams. He
is not the Mahdi who is expected by the Shiah, who
they claim will appear
from a tunnel in Samarra. This claim of theirs has
no basis in reality nor
in any reliable source. They allege that his name
is Muhammad ibn
al-Hasan ibn al-Askari, and that he went into the tunnel
when he was five years
old.
The matter we intend to
discuss has been proven by Ahadith narrated from
the Prophet (sallallahu
alayhe wa sallam): that the Mahdi will appear at
the end of time. I
believe that he will appear before Jesus the son of
Mary comes down, as the
Ahadith indicate.
Hajjaj said that he
heard Ali say, The Prophet said, Even if there were
only one day left for
the world, Allah would send a man from among us to
fill the world with
justice, just as it had been filled with oppression
and justice. (Ahmad).
Ali said, The Prophet
said, The Mahdi is one of us, from among the people
of my household. In one
night Allah will inspire him and prepare him to
carry out his task
successfully. (Ahmad and Ibn Majah.)
Ali said, whilst
looking at his son al-Hasan, This son of mine is a Sayyid
(master), as the
Prophet named him. Among his descendants there will be
man named after your
Prophet. He will resemble him in behaviour but not in
looks. Then he told
them the report which mentions that the earth will be
filled with justice.
(Abu Dawud.)
Hadith-40
The Messenger of Allah
(Sallallahu alaihi wassalam) said: “At the end of the time of my ummah, the
Mahdi will appear. Allah will grant him rain, the earth will bring forth its
fruits, he will give a lot of money, cattle will increase and the ummah will become
great. And he will rule for seven or eight years” [Reported in variety in abu
dawood, tirmidhi and elsewhere. This content is authenticated by Al-Albani]
Hadith 41
Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri
(may Allaah be pleased with him) said: "The Messenger of Allaah (Peace
& Blessings of Allaah be upon Him) said: "He is one of us, behind whom
‘Eesaa ibn Maryam will pray." (Reported by Abi Na’eem in Akhbaar al-Mahdi.
Al-Albaani said it is saheeh; see al-Jaami’ al-Sagheer, 5/219, hadeeth 5796).
2) Dajjal (Anti-Christ)
Hadith-42
Sahih Muslim > The
Book Pertaining to the Turmoil and Portents of the Last Hour
Abu Huraira reported
Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying:The Last Hour would not
come until the Romans would land at al-A'maq or in Dabiq. An army consisting of
the best (soldiers) of the people of the earth at that time will come from
Medina (to counteract them). When they will arrange themselves in ranks, the
Romans would say: Do not stand between us and those (Muslims) who took
prisoners from amongst us. Let us fight with them; and the Muslims would say:
Nay, by Allah, we would never get aside from you and from our brethren that you
may fight them. They will then fight and a third (part) of the army would run
away, whom Allah will never forgive. A third (part of the army). which would be
constituted of excellent martyrs in Allah's eye, would be killed ani the third
who would never be put to trial would win and they would be conquerors of
Constantinople. And as they would be busy in distributing the spoils of war
(amongst themselves) after hanging their swords by the olive trees, the Satan
would cry: The Dajjal has taken your place among your family. They would then
come out, but it would be of no avail. And when they would come to Syria, he would
come out while they would be still preparing themselves for battle drawing up
the ranks. Certainly, the time of prayer shall come and then Jesus (peace be
upon him) son of Mary would descend and would lead them in prayer. When the
enemy of Allah would see him, it would (disappear) just as the salt dissolves
itself in water and if he (Jesus) were not to confront them at all, even then
it would dissolve completely, but Allah would kill them by his hand and he
would show them their blood on his lance (the lance of Jesus Christ).
(Sahih Muslim English
Reference : Book 41, Hadith 6924; Arabic Reference : Book 55, Hadith 7460)
Hadith-43
Narrated Ubadah ibn
as-Samit: The Prophet(Peace be upon him) said: I have told you so much about
the Dajjal (Antichrist) that I am afraid you may not understand. The Antichrist
is short, hen-toed, woolly-haired, one-eyed, an eye-sightless, and neither
protruding nor deep-seated. If you are confused about him, know that your Lord
is not one-eyed.
Abu Dawud said: 'Amr
bin Al-Aswad was appointed a judge.
(Sunan Abi Dawud 4320 :
In Book 39, Hadith 30)
3) Return of Prophet
Isa (alayhi salaam) Hanzala al-Aslami reported:
I heard Abu Huraira
(Allah be pleased with him) as narrating from Allah's Apostle (may peace be
upon him) who said: By Him in Whose Hand is my life. Ibn Maryam (Jesus Christ)
would certainly pronounce Talbiya for Hajj or for Umra or for both (simultaneously
as a Qiran) In the valley of Rauha
[Ref: Sahih Muslim,
Book 7, Hadith 2877]
Imam Nawawi in his
sharh says "This will be at the end of the world, after the descent of
‘Eesa, may Allaah exalt his mention, from heaven." [Sharh Saheeh Muslim
(9/168)]
There are many more
ahadeeth on Isa (a.s)'s arrival. He will fight the Dajjal and establish
shari'ah so on and so forth.
4) Ya'jooj and ma'jooj
(Gog and Megog)
5) The rising of the
sun from the West
6) Earth Beast
7) Thick Smoke
8) The Sinking of the
houses
9) The chasing of the
Fire
The evidence for these
signs is the hadith of:
Hadith-44
Sahih Muslim Book 041,
Hadith Number 6931.
Hudhaifa b. Usaid
Ghifari reported: Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) came to us all of a
sudden as we were (busy in a discussion). He said: What do you discuss about?
They (the Companions) said. We are discussing about the Last Hour. Thereupon he
said: It will not come until you see ten signs before and (in this connection)
he made a mention of the smoke, Dajjal, the beast, the rising of the sun from
the west, the descent of Jesus son of Mary (Allah be pleased with him), the Gog
and Magog, and land-sliding in three places, one in the east, one in the west
and one in Arabia at the end of which fire would burn forth from the Yemen, and
would drive people to the place of their assembly.
4) The Destruction of
the Ka'bah
Al-Bukhaari narrated in
his Saheeh, no. 1519 that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said:
the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The
Ka’bah will be destroyed by Dhu’l-Suwayqatayn from Ethiopia.” And Allaah will
take the Qur’aan away from the earth, and not one aayah of it will be left in
the mus-hafs or in people’s hearts. Allaah will not permit His Book to remain
on earth if it is not benefitting anyone and no one is acting in accordance
with it. So this thing will come to pass.
Sahih Bukhaari : 665:
Narrated Ibn Abbas: The Prophet said, "As if I were looking at him, a
black person with thin legs plucking the stones of the Ka'ba one after another.
"
666: Narrated Abu
Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "DhusSuwaiqatain (the thin legged man) from
Ethiopia will demolish the Ka'ba."
Narrated: Abu Said
Al-Khudri The Prophet said "The people will continue performing the Hajj
and 'Umra to the Kaaba even after the appearance of Gog and Magog (Yajooj and
Ma`jooj)." Narrated Shuba: The Hour (Day of Judgment) will not be
established till the Hajj (to the Kaaba) is abandoned.
[Ref: Saheeh Bukhaari
26:663]
5) The Coming of the
Beast
{And when the Word is
fulfilled against them, We shall bring out from the earth a beast for them, to
speak to them because mankind believed not with certainty in Our Ayaat.} [Surah
Al-Naml (27): 82]
Imaam Ahmad recorded
that Hudhayfah bin Asid Al-Ghifari رضي
الله
عنه
said, "The Messenger of Allaah صلى
الله
عليه
السلام
came out from his room while we were discussing the matter of the Hour. He
said: “The Hour will not come until you see ten signs: the rising of the sun
from the west; the smoke (Ad-Dukhan); emergence of the beast; the emergence of
Ya'juj and Ma'juj; the appearance of `Isa bin Maryam عليه
السلام;
the Dajjal; and three land cave-ins, one in the west, one in the east and one
in the Arabian Peninsula; and a Fire which will emerge from the midst of Yemen,
and will drive or gather the people, stopping with them whenever they stop for
the night or to rest during the day.” [This was also recorded by Muslim and the
Sunan compilers from Hudhayfah, in a Mawquf report. At-Tirmidhi said, "It
is Hasan Sahih.'' It was also recorded by Muslim from Hudhayfah in a Marfu`
report. And Allaah knows best.]
Muslim bin Al-Hajjaj
recorded (in his Saheeh) that `Abdullah bin `Amr said, "I memorized a
Hadeeth from the Messenger of Allaah صلى
الله
عليه
السلام
which I never forgot afterwards. I heard the Messenger of Allaah صلى
الله
عليه
السلام
say: “The first of the signs to appear will be the rising of the sun from the
west, and the emergence of the beast to mankind in the forenoon. Whichever of
them appears first, the other will follow close behind it.”
In his Saheeh, Muslim
recorded that Abu Hurayrah رضي الله
عنه
said that the Messenger of Allaah صلى
الله
عليه
السلام
said: “Hasten to do good deeds before six things appear: the rising of the sun
from the west; the smoke; the Dajjal; the beast; the (death) of one of your
favorite, or general affliction.” [This was recorded by Muslim alone.]
Abu Dawud At-Tayalisi
recorded from Abu Hurayrah رضي الله
عنه
that the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله
عليه
السلام
said: “A beast will emerge from the earth, and with it will be the staff of
Musa and the ring of Sulayman, peace be upon them both. It will strike the nose
of the disbelievers with the staff, and it will make the face of the believer
bright with the ring, until when people gather to eat, they will be able to
recognize the believers from the disbelievers.”
It also was recorded by
Imam Ahmad, with the wording: “It will strike the nose of the disbelievers with
the ring, and will make the face of the believer bright with the staff, until
when people gather for a meal, they will say to one another, O believer, or O
disbeliever.” [It was also recorded by Ibn Majah. Graded as Dha`eef by Shaikh
al-Albaanee in his checking of Ibn Majah (811)]
There are a lot of
ahadeeth wherein numerous events which the prophet (s.a.w) prophecised came
true today and we have clear signs of them coming true in the near future. This
document includes many ahadeeth enlisting the signs, but some still remain. I
will keep adding them as and when i come across them.

with Allah is full knowledge and He is acquainted (with all
(i) sexual immorality
never appears among people to such an extent that they commit it openly except
that they will be afflicted by plagues and diseases (e.g AIDS and etc) unknown
to their forefathers;
(ii) they do not cheat
in weights and measures (business, trades, etc) except that they will be
stricken with famine, calamity, and the oppression of rulers;
(iii) they do not
withhold charity from their wealth except that rain will be withheld from the
sky, and were it not for the animals there would be no rain at all;
(iv) they do not break
their covenant with Allah and His Messenger except that Allah will enable their
enemies to overpower them and take some of what is in their hands;
(v) and unless their
leaders rule according to the Book of Allah and seek every good from that which
Allah has revealed, then Allah will cause them to fight one another.”
[Sunan ibn Majah, Book
of Trials, Number 4019, Sahih]
'Ali ibn Abi Talib
said,
"The Prophet said:
'If my Ummah bears fifteen traits, tribulation will befall it.' Someone asked,
'What are they, O Messenger of Allah?' He said,
(1) 'When any gain is
shared out only among the rich, with no benefit to the poor;
(2) when a trust
becomes a means of making a profit;
(3) when paying Zakat
becomes a burden;
(4) when a man obeys
his wife and disobeys his mother;
(5) and treats his
friend kindly whilst shunning his father;
(6) when voices are
raised in the mosques;
(7) when the leader of
a people is the worst of them;
(8) when people treat a
man with respect because they fear some evil he may do;
(9) when much wine is
drunk;
(10) when men wear
silk;
(11) when female
singers and
(12) musical
instruments become popular;

Abdullah ibn Amr
reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The
Hour will not be established until people fornicate with each other in the road
just as a donkeys fornicate. [1] ”
[Ref: Saheeh ibn Hibban
6767; Musnad Bazzar 3408; Saheeh according to the Jumhoor Muhadditheen]
1- The appearance of
fitan (tribulations) and removal of khushoo' (god fearness, taqwah, reverence,
etc)
Hadith-1
Sahih Muslim Book 001,
Hadith Number 0213.
It is narrated on the
authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him)
observed: Be prompt in doing good deeds (before you are overtaken) by
turbulence which would be like a part of the dark night. During (that stormy
period) a man would be a Muslim in the morning and an unbeliever in the evening
or he would be a believer in the evening and an unbeliever in the morning, and
would sell his faith for worldly goods.

knowledge and the prevalence of ignorance
Hadith-3
Sahih Bukhari Volume
001, Book 003, Hadith Number 081.
Narated By Anas : I
will narrate to you a Hadith and none other than I will tell you about after
it. I heard Allah's Apostle saying: From among the portents of the Hour are
(the following):
1. Religious knowledge
will decrease (by the death of religious learned men).
2. Religious ignorance
will prevail.
3. There will be
prevalence of open illegal sexual intercourse.
4. Women will increase
in number and men will decrease in number so much so that fifty women will be
looked after by one man.
4- Frequent occurrences
of sudden and unexpected death;
Hadith-4
Sahih Muslim Book 041,
Hadith Number 7040.
Abu Huraira reported

(2) till about thirty
Dajjals (liars) appear, and each one of them will claim that he is Allah's
Apostle,
(3) till the religious
knowledge is taken away (by the death of Religious scholars)
(4) earthquakes will
increase in number
(5) time will pass
quickly,
(6) afflictions will
appear,
(7) Al-Harj, (i.e.,
killing) will increase,
(8) till wealth will be
in abundance so abundant that a wealthy person will worry lest nobody should
accept his Zakat, and whenever he will present it to someone, that person (to
whom it will be offered) will say, 'I am not in need of it,
(9) till the people
compete with one another in constructing high buildings,
(10) till a man when
passing by a grave of someone will say, 'Would that I were in his place
(11) and till the sun
rises from the West. So when the sun will rise and the people will see it
(rising from the West) they will all believe (embrace Islam) but that will be
the time when: (As Allah said,) 'No good will it do to a soul to believe then,
if it believed not before, nor earned good (by deeds of righteousness) through
its Faith.' (6.158)
And the Hour will be
established while two men spreading a garment in front of them but they will
not be able to sell it, nor fold it up; and the Hour will be established when a
man has milked his she-camel and has taken away the milk but he will not be
able to drink it; and the Hour will be established before a man repairing a
tank (for his livestock) is able to water (his animals) in it; and the Hour
will be established when a person has raised a morsel (of food) to his mouth
but will
not be able to eat
it."
6- Acceleration of
time:
Hadith-6
''Time would move
faster - so that a whole year would pass like a month, a month would pass like
a week, a week like a day, a day like an hour, and an hour like the amount of
time it takes to kindle a fire.”(This hadith is narrated by al-Imam Ahmad on the

authentic according to the standards of al-Imam Muslim)

8- The spread of riba
(usury, interest), the spread of zina (adultery, fornication), drinking of

only the wicked would survive who would commit adultery like asses and the Last
Hour would come to them.

will transform the rest of them into monkeys and pigs and they will remain so

There are some who put
forward various claims to make Music Halal. We have refuted all their claims
and enlisted both proofs from Qur'an and Sunnah as well the Ijmaa of scholars

verse: "He it is Who has sent His Messenger with right guidance, and true
religion, so that He may cause it to prevail upon all religions, though the
polytheists are averse (to it)", it implies that is going to be fulfilled.
Thereupon he (Allah's Apostle) said: It would happen as Allah would like. Then
Allah would send the sweet fragrant air by which everyone who has even a
mustard grain of faith in Him would die and those only would survive who would
have no goodness in them. And they would revert to the religion of their
forefathers."

Abu Huraira (Allah be
pleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as
saying:Behold Medina is like furnace which eliminates from it the impurities.
And the Last Hour will not come until Medina banishes its evils just as a
furnace eliminates the impurities of iron.
33-When predatory
animals and minerals speak to human
Hadith-37
It was reported from
Abu Sa'id that the Prophet (sallallahu alayhe wa sallam) said: "The Hour
will not come until the time when a man will leave his home, and his shoes or
whip or stick will tell what is happening to his family." (Musnad Ahmad).
Hadith-38
It was reported from
Abu Sa'id that the Prophet (sallallahu alayhe wa sallam) said: "By Him in
Whose hand is my soul, the Hour will not come until wild animals talk to men,
and a man speaks to his whip or his shoe, and his thigh will tell him about what
happened to his family after he left."(Musand Ahmad Declared Authentic by
Al-Albani)
34-Believer's dreams
coming true:
Hadith-39
Sahih Muslim Book 029,
Hadith Number 5621.
Abu Huraira reported
Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: When the time draws near
(when the Resurrection is near) a believer's dream can hardly be false. And the
truest vision will be of one who is himself the most truthful in speech, for
the vision of a Muslim is the forty-fifth part of Prophecy.
35- Increase in
Thunderbolt
It was reported from
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri that the Prophet (sallallahu
alayhe wa sallam) said,
"Thunderbolts will increase so much as the Hour
approaches that when a
man comes to a people, he will ask, 'Who amongst
you was struck by a
thunderbolt this morning?' and they will say,
'So-and-so and
so-and-so was struck'." (Ahmad)
36- Assigning special
greetings to V.I.P's and women helping their husbands in business
Tariq ibn Shihab said,
"We were sitting with 'Abd Allah ibn Mas'ud, when a
man came and told us
that the time for prayer had come. So we got up and
went to the mosque.
After the prayer, a man came to 'Abd Allah ibn Mas'ud
and said, 'As-salam
'alayka (Peace be upon you), O Abu 'Abd al-Rahman'.
'Abd Allah answered,
'Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth'. When
we went back, we asked
one another, 'Did you hear the answer he gave? Who
is going to ask him
about it? I said, 'I will ask him'; so I asked him
when he came out. He
narrated from the Prophet (sallallahu alayhe wa
sallam): 'Before the
Hour comes, there will be a special greeting for the
people of distinction;
trade will become so widespread that a woman will help her husband in business;
family ties will be cut; the giving of false witness will be common, while
truthful witness will be rare; and writing will be widespread." (Ahmad)
37- Until none shall
say Laa Ilaaha IllAllah
It was also reported
from Anas that the Prophet (sallallahu alayhe wa
sallam) said: "The
Hour will not come until no-one on earth says, 'Allah,
Allah'." (Ahmad.)
There are two
suggestions as to the meaning of the phrase, "until no-one
on earth says 'Allah,
Allah'":
1. It could mean that
no-one will forbid evil, or try to correct another
if he sees him doing
something wrong. We have already come across this in
the Hadith of 'Abd
Allah ibn 'Amr: "Only the worst people will be left;
they will not know any
good or forbid any evil."
You should listen and
obey them even if the ruler strikes your back and takes your wealth, even still
listen and obey.

not trusted, the traitor is trusted, the Wo’ool perish and the Tuhoot appear.
They said: O Messenger of Allaah, what is Al-Wo’ool and what is At-Tuhoot? He
said: Al-Wo’ool are the honorable and dignitaries from people, and At-Tuhoot
are those unknown whom were below the feet of people (i.e not of prime
importance and goodness) ”
This hadeeth is
collected by Al-Haythamee in Mujamma’uz-Zawaa’id 7/327, At-Tabaraanee in
Al-Mu’jamul-Awsat 3767 and Al-Albaanee graded it as authentic due to number of
its chains in As-Silsilah As-Saheehah 3211.

السلام;
the Dajjal; and three land cave-ins, one in the west, one in the east and one
in the Arabian Peninsula; and a Fire which will emerge from the midst of Yemen,
and will drive or gather the people, stopping with them whenever they stop for
the night or to rest during the day.” [This was also recorded by Muslim and the
Sunan compilers from Hudhayfah, in a Mawquf report.
Graded as Dha`eef by Shaikh
al-Albaanee in his checking of Ibn Majah (811)]

staff of Musa and the ring of Sulayman. There will be no believer left without
it making a white spot on his face, which will spread until all his face is
shining white as a result; and there will be no disbeliever left without it
making a black spot on his face, which will spread until all his face is black
as a result, then when the people trade with one another in the marketplace,
they will say, `How much is this, O believer' `How much is this, O disbeliever'
